How do I Update Zoom and download the meeting client?

Question:

How do I Update Zoom and download the meeting client?

Answer:

Below are some of the Zoom basics that we recommend you complete before your first day of teaching

1. Updating Zoom and downloading the Desktop Client:

  • Why:
    • Some of the interactive features (such as annotation and non-verbal signals) will not be available for those without the latest version or those who are using the web browser.
    • Zoom has added additional security features to their application that are updated regularly for clients to download.

  • How:
    • Download the latest version of zoom here.
    • Or, if you are logged into the desktop client, sign into the Zoom Desktop client.
      • Click on your profile picture, then click Check for Updates.
