Question:
How do I report 'Spam' or 'Phishing'?
Answer:
All faculty, staff and students have the ability to report 'Spam' and 'Phishing' attempts directly to KnowBe4 via Microsoft Outlook.
Open 'Outlook':
1. Launch your Microsoft Outlook Application.
2. Click the "Home" tab located on the top left of Outlook.
3. Select the specific email your would like to report. Highlight it in order to only select the 'issue' email that will be submitted KnowBe4
4. Once you select the email look for "Phishing Alert Report" tab (located on the top toolbar at the end of the row).
5. Clicking "Phish Alert Report" opens the Phish Alert V2 panel on the right side.
6. Clicking "Phish Alert" button will report the phish or spam email. The email will be removed from your inbox.
7. Let 'Microsoft Reporting' do the rest!
Alternatively depending on the version of outlook you are running you can also take the steps below.
1. Launch your Microsoft Outlook Application.
2. View the email you would like to report.
3. There are some options on the top right of the email.
4. Click on the option that appears to be a letter with a fishing hook.
5. Once you have click on the above option you will be presented with the KnowBe4 Phish Alert.
6. Make sure to click "Phish Alert" Once you have done this you have successfully reported a phishing Email.
