How do I Update Zoom and download the meeting client?
Answer:
Below are some of the Zoom basics that we recommend you complete before your first day.
1. Updating Zoom and downloading the Desktop Client:
- Why:
- Some of the interactive features (such as annotation and non-verbal signals) will not be available for those without the latest version or those who are using the web browser.
- Zoom has added additional security features to their application that are updated regularly for clients to download.
- How:
- Download the latest version of zoom here.
- Or, if you are logged into the desktop client, sign into the Zoom Desktop client.
- Click on your profile picture, then click Check for Updates.

- IT Chat: If you are having issues using Canvas or need immediate help, open a chat with IT via the Client Portal homepage. IT Chat has a full support team available from 9:00 am BST – 5:00 pm EST. This is the quickest way to get help with your class.
- Support Ticket: Complete and submit the help form to open a ticket and a member of the team will be in touch to help you with your request.
- Sage Knowledge Base: Spend some time reviewing the Sage Service Knowledge Base to find a list of articles and FAQs to help you if you’re stuck. You can also start a chat with IT or open a ticket from the Sage Service portal if you don’t find the information you need.
