All faculty, staff, and students have the ability to use Microsoft Teams as part of Office365.

 

This document was produced by Microsoft as the official 'Quick Start Guide' for the 'Microsoft Teams' application.  Please review to get familiar with an overall view of the features and capabilities of Teams.   

 

Teams Quick Start Guide:

1.) First open up MS Teams by double-clicking the icon located on the Desktop.

2.) On the initial start screen you will be brought to the main Chat Window which will show all your recent contacts in the left side column and also give you the ability to search for other contacts in the search bar located on the top.

3.) You can now chat freely with all your fellow co-workers by simply typing in your message and clicking Send.

Microsoft Teams also gives users the ability to make Phone / Video Calls and also Share content from their Computer and give the Viewer Remote Access to Control the screen.

4.) To Make a phone / Video Call simply highlight the user name you would like to communicate within the Left Hand Column and click the appropriate button in the top right-hand corner as shown in the photo below>

A.) To Make a Video Call press the Camera button

B.) To make a Phone Voice call press the phone button.

C.) To share content from your computer click the box with up arrow and select which screen you would like to share.
