How do I send message from canvas Inbox?
Answer:
Students can send messages from the Canvas inbox. Notification are sent to external email addresses. However, to reply to the message, you will have to login to canvas.
- Login to Canvas and go to ‘Inbox’.
- Click on the icon to compose a new email.
- Click on ‘Select course’ if you are emailing a person who is not part of your group or if you are not a member of a group.
- Select the Course.
- Click on the contact list icon on the right.
- Choose if you want to send message to ‘Teachers’, ‘Students’, or ‘Student Groups’.
- Select participants you want to send message to.
- Type in the subject and your message and click on send.
- If you are sending message to the group you are member of, Click on ‘Groups’.
- Click on the contacts icon and add all the members from the group that you wish to send the email to.
- Type your message and click the ‘Send’ icon.
- To reply to a group message in Canvas please go to ‘More Options’ and click ‘Reply all’ to copy all participants in your reply, otherwise only the sender will get your reply.
