What is the best way to navigate my course in Canvas?
Answer:
1. On the Course Home Page, in the left navigation. Click on "Modules".
Note: Modules organizes the weekly assignments, readings, and overall course content.
2. On the Module page. You will find the titled weekly modules that contain the assignments, discussions or videos that are required for that week. Ex. "Week 2: A Month in the Life of a Curator contains: 1. Video pages, 2. Readings and Supplementary Resources, and 3. Assignments (Discussions and Writing Assignment).
Note: Assignments may vary for each week
Additional Tips:
On the Course Home Page, you will find some helpful tips that will keep you up-to-date in your course.
1. “To do” this section shows recent announcements that have been posted or assignments that are due for the upcoming week. These are also quick links that take you directly to those items.
2. “Announcements” pertains to any informative updates that are posted throughout the course.
3. “Inbox” This is a messaging tool that can be used to communicate with your instructor throughout the course. If you receive a message you will get a notification and a blue circle will appear in canvas that will highlight the number of unread messages.
