How Do I Place & Answer Phone Calls in 'Teams?'
Answer:
All faculty and staff have the ability to review use 'Calling in Microsoft Teams' collaborative application on both desktop/laptop computers and mobile devices system. Authorized staff members will have their own 'Teams' phone number & 'Audio Conferencing' dial-in capabilities. Please inquire further with IT.
Note: As we embark and adjust to an increased Work-From-Home (WFH) environment for the unforeseen future, we recommend that you use 'Microsoft Teams' as your #1 collaborative tool to communicate across our schools and companies. Request more information directly with the IT team.
Calling In 'Microsoft Teams' (Desktop & Mobile):
Dialing (Desktop - Windows & Mac):
- Navigate to 'Calls.'
- Dial Pad: Enter the phone number of the individual you are calling. (Note: To make external calls you must have phone licence)
- Click 'Call.'
- Alternatively you can search for the person by typing they are name.

Emergency Dialing (New York & London) -
Your computer/laptop or cell devices all must have internet connectivity to make an emergency call.
Dialing (Mobile app - iOS/Android):
- Launch the 'Teams mobile app on your device
- Tap 'Calls.'
- Click on the 'Phone' icon to activate the Dial Pad.
- Dial Pad: Enter the phone number of the person you're calling.
- Click "Call".
How to 'Answer Calls' In 'Microsoft Teams':
(Desktop - Windows & Mac):
- Click 'Accept with Audio' (to pick up using the audio only).
- Click on 'Accept with Video' (to pick up using the audio only).
- Click 'Decline.' (to pick up using the audio only).
